We are delighted to announce that we have introduced Profhilo treatment to the clinic. A new generation of filler which combines hyaluronic acid with gels to improve the appearance of areas that have previously been difficult to treat with traditional fillers; such as the neck and décolletage.

What makes Profhilo different?

Profhilo works differently to traditional fillers as these can only treat the area they are injected in to. Profhilo flows through the skin tissue rather than stay in the place it has been injected. It has been compared to honey, spreading smoothly through the tissue hydrating, lifting and contouring the area.

This treatment doesn’t add volume but smooths and helps improve the appearance of areas such as your neck, décolletage and hands.

Following treatment your skin will look instantly tighter.

In terms of pain-level, it is similar to treatments for dynamic lines and wrinkles. Some patients experience a slight stinging sensation, which is caused by the muscle fibres in the skin expanding.

There is limited downtime, you may experience some swelling post-treatment, but this usually reduces within 24 hours and there are restrictions on sport and facial treatments, which your practitioner will explain in full detail during your consultation.

The recommendation is to have 2 treatments, spaced approximately a month apart and the results should then last between 4 – 6 months, although this can vary between individuals.

Profhilo is manufactured by IBSA, a multinational Swiss pharmaceutical company founded in 1945.
